So I made up this little rhyme this morning to make Dylan laugh. In order for you to understand you must have read at least 24 hours worth of Winnie the Pooh. It's a bad take-off of Cottleston Pie.
Zachary Zachary Zachary Zoo
A Poo doesn't fly
But a fly can poo.
Funny? Maybe not to you but a 2 year-old loves it!
It wasn't funny later when Zachary's poo or pee, I should say, did in fact fly. I had just cleaned up a poo when the air did it's job. Pee all over the wall, in his diaper bag, on his changing table and ultimately on him. I'm pretty sure Dylan did this once because that's all the time it takes to remember what air does to pee.
My babies are sleeping in a clustered mass of blankets and cuteness on my bed. Some things must be saved for my memories only.
...and there were four. What a change and it's only been a few days. Stay-tuned for more observations.

All my babies are sleeping. So, I've got some time to share something funny.
Last night after Dylan had gone to bed, Tricia and I were laying in bed talking. She was nursing Zac with her back to me and I made an observation.
Me - Wow, I can hear Zac nursing. He's really loud.
Tricia - Joel, that's the cat drinking out of the toilet.

Zachary Richard has arrived!!

May 10, 2008 at 440am after a 22 hour induction and three hours of pushing our new little bundle of joy is finally here!
20inches long and weighing 8 pounds and 15 ounces, he was the same height but almost 1 pound heavier than Dylan. And that's where the similarities stop. Dylan's birth happened like it reads in a text book, Zach must have read the cliff notes and skipped pages. So far he's a good eater(latched on 10 minutes after birth) and a good sleeper(knock, knock)
I'm off doing mother's day shopping with my big boy. See ya soon.

Not today.
We got the call from the doctor, after his consultation with his colleague, nothing will happen today. Man, that sucks! After I finished stomping my feet and muttering to myself, because I was convinced he would do something immediately, I realized that I'm a moron and should be happy that the baby is doing fine. Why rush it? Only one reason, I'm incredibly anxious, prone to tantrums, and I'm a grown man who acts like a baby. On the other hand Tricia, who has reason to be upset about carrying a child around post due date, is calm and incredibly easy-going. It's got to be the pregnancy hormones! The same ones that have made her more emotional than ever have mellowed her in the final days of this pregnancy.
Thursday we will be going in for more non-stress testing. Hopefully, we won't make it that far but, with the way things are going, I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up cuz then I'll just get cranky again when Thursday rolls around and I'm at the doctor's office and not the hospital.
If baby2 hasn't come before Friday morning at 530am, Tricia will be induced. The only thing good about this is, we have a definite start to the beginning of the labor. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH.

Just two ultrasounds and a stress test.
Today, we were offered a glimpse into the life of our overdue baby. It seems that there is plenty of room in mommy's tummy so why should he/she ever leave. It turns out that Tricia has too much amniotic fluid so the baby, for one, is completely comfortable, and two, he/she is floating and potentially unable to come down. It's possible our little baby 2 has wanted to come out but can't "dive" low enough to make it to the opening.
We'll hear about some options tomorrow after our doctor consults with a colleague. All is well. We want to know if baby2 can come down or out without help.
On another note, Dylan had his first pee pee accident in his bed overnight. I wasn't around to witness it but he talked with me about it later on at the doctor's office. I assured him that it was ok and that accidents happen. He told me that mommy said that same thing. It was very cute how he brought it up and seemed a bit upset about it. He seemed better after our talk.

Nope.
It appears we will make it through another weekend without baby2. I've never been one that was good at waiting, so, having a sore throat and not sleeping well is having a terrible effect on my disposition. Couple my disposition with Tricia's and Dylan must be having a "wonderful" time. I must give Tricia credit, she seems to be in a better mode than I, she's always had the better poker face. Oh, and I'm a baby.
The weather is nice today so we'll try and walk the baby out, it didn't work yesterday, so I shouldn't expect a different result.
